Calling all newly qualified or experienced HCPC Registered Dietitians!
Are you caring and compassionate and an enthusiastic learner?

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals may just be the perfect place to start your career or further your experience in a rotational post. We pride ourselves on being an incredibly friendly and welcoming department, regularly receiving feedback from Student Dietitians and colleagues that we are like one big, supportive family.

Our work is well-respected by colleagues across our organisation, with close working links between Dietetics, Speech and Language Therapy and our national award-winning Nutrition Nurse service. We also work closely with our community counterparts, with a focus on seamless and high quality patient care.

Main duties of the job

You will work closely alongside other Band 5 Dietitians with excellent senior support and robust clinical supervision. You will rotate into various specialist clinical areas with the opportunity to gain experience working with highly knowledgeable Specialist Dietitians and established expert multidisciplinary teams. You will also cover a general caseload of inpatients and outpatient work to further develop your dietetic knowledge and skills.

You will gain experience and training in the support of Student Dietitians on placement within our team. You would join a team of over 30 experienced and forward-thinking Dietitians, Dietetic Assistants and Administrative staff.

Applicant requirements

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

Applications from job seekers who require sponsorship to work in the United Kingdom (UK) are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. Please note that from January 2021, to work in the UK all candidates who are not UK or Republic of Ireland (RoI) nationals require sponsorship unless you have permission to work via another route. Non UK / RoI candidates wishing to apply can self-assess the likelihood of obtaining a Certificate of Sponsorship here. It is vital that you provide full and accurate details of your current immigration status on the application form. Overseas applicants applying for entry clearance into the UK must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided in continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Guidance can be found here. Not everyone needs a ‘Skilled Worker’ visa. If you are applying for a vacancy in health or adult social care, check if you’re eligible to apply for the Health and Care Worker visa instead. It’s cheaper to apply for and you do not need to pay the annual immigration health surcharge
