Be the one who makes a difference in our Critical Care Team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. You’ll be joining the first Trust in the county to be granted Teaching Hospital status and we’ve not stopped building on our passion and commitment for development and training.

We are currently in the process of expanding our services to a 36 bedded unit, this is an expansion of our current unit and refurbishment and remodel of the existing unit.

Critical Care services are distributed across five areas of the Trust set over two sites which includes a 28 bedded CCU at Royal Preston Hospital and a 4 bedded HDU at Chorley and South Ribble Hospital. You’ll be exposed to a full spectrum of specialties from Major Trauma to specialist and general surgery, neurology and neurosurgery to gynaecology as well as oncology, respiratory, maxillo-facial, plastics and much more.

As Sister/Charge Nurse you will welcome the challenges of being involved in such a dynamic and varied field where your passion for delivering holistic patient care will be in demand. You’ll work across both our sites at Preston and Chorley on a rotational day/night basis.

As a qualified mentor and with experience working at a senior level within Critical Care you’ll also hold a post graduate qualification in Critical Care. When you join us you’ll receive a comprehensive induction as well as a supernumerary period. You’ll receive an individual training and development plan tailored to your needs and career aspirations.

We're waiting to hear from you!
