Cancer Pathway Coordinator 12 months fixed term/secondment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and forward thinking individual to undertake the role of patient navigator working as part of the Corporate Cancer team at Lancashire Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
You will enjoy working in a fast paced environment, providing full administrative support to the clinic teams working within the earlier diagnosis pathways, ensuring that we support patients progress from suspected cancer referral into the Trust, through the various points of their Cancer journey, up to their ‘first definitive treatment’ in a timely and efficient manner.
The post-holder will be specifically supporting the teams under the earlier diagnosis pathways and supporting the improvement work around the 4 national diagnostic pathways for Lung, Colorectal, UGI and Prostate.
The position provides the opportunity to work within a supportive and welcoming team and to further develop your knowledge and skills. You will enjoy working closely with the clinicians, clinical nurse specialists, secretaries and patient access teams and you will work closely with the Cancer SIF.
