The Surgical division is delighted to offer this exciting opportunity on the trauma orthopaedic Ward 16, which is part of the major trauma centre for the North West. We have a fully supportive Major trauma team including specialist nurses and Psychology. We welcome both experienced and newly qualified staff nurses to be a part of an innovative, forward thinking and dynamic team. 

Our Trauma ward provides a quality service for trauma orthopaedic patients who have had an orthopaedic injury, require surgical intervention and patients who undergo orthopaedic investigations. You will develop many of your nursing skills with excellent support and leadership. We work collaboratively with a patient focussed, Integrated Therapy team based on the unit and aim for the best possible outcome for the patient, with a focus on reablement.

We offer a 4-6 weeks supernumerary period, this is flexible and dependent on your experience, we will support you in accessing other learning opportunities through higher education to achieve your BSc and MSc, in preparation for promotional opportunities.
