The Surgical Division at Lancashire Teaching Hospital is delighted to offer exciting opportunities to both Newly Qualified and Experienced Staff Nurses to be part of our team.


Ward 11 is currently recruiting staff nurses who have a passionate approach to nursing surgical patients. Ward 11 is an acute surgical ward specialising in upper gastrointestinal surgery and conditions. The ward has 22 mixed sex beds including a 5 bedded high observation bay for patients stepping down from intensive care and surgical patients with a high acuity need. The ward has high quality standards with an excellent team approach which ensures patient safety and experience as paramount.

The team work collaboratively with other disciplines including the nutrition team, therapists, specialist nurses, pain and palliative specialists providing excellent opportunities for career development and enhancing knowledge and skills. Training opportunities are available for the successful candidates.
