We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative therapist to join our team in the Head and Neck department. You will work alongside our current B7 therapist in this field to drive the expansion of SLT services across the surgical and oncology pathways for Head and Neck patients. If you have excellent communication skills, passion for this client group and enjoy being embedded in team working, then we wold really like to hear from you!
Applicants should have complex dysphagia competencies, be able to manage tracheostomy patients and have experience working with the communication needs of these patient groups. Multidisciplinary team working is proactive in these areas and you will need to be a key player in differing teams and MDT clinics.
The team has established Videofluoroscopy and FEES services for the instrumental assessment of dysphagia and is able to offer training in these areas.
The Speech and Language therapy service is part of Integrated Nutrition and Communication Services which includes the Department of Dietetics and The Nutrition Nurse Team. We are a friendly department with a strong commitment to evidence based practice with regular CPD, appraisal and training opportunities.
