An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Respiratory Physiologist to join our Trust.
Band 5 candidates will be considered and pay scale will reflect experience and qualifications. The successful candidate would then be expected to work towards a Band 6 level once in post. In house support and training would be provided, with an expectation to work towards ARTP Practitioner Examination.
The role is part of the development of the ‘Lancashire Chest Centre’ which offers tertiary services in several sub-specialties of Respiratory Medicine. You will be joining a thriving team which comprises of 9 Respiratory Consultants across the two hospital sites. Services are provided across both Chorley and Preston sites.
We are currently expanding services in Respiratory medicine with new developments in the diagnosis and treatment of unexplained breathlessness, vocal cord dysfunction and complex asthma.
We are entering an exciting phase of developing the respiratory department, with new services for our airways team including challenge testing, impulse oscillometry, and exercise physiology. We are also getting the opportunity to be involved in a number of research projects in this area.
The successful candidate will be required to provide and undertake a broad range of respiratory investigation as part of a quality diagnostic service.
Experience in CPAP and sleep services would also be desirable
