At Lancashire Teaching Hospitals our Renal Directorate is dynamic and forward thinking and incorporates a 28 station renal unit and 23 bedded nephrology ward plus a 3 bedded acute dialysis bay. The Unit at also serves as a hub for 6 satellite haemodialysis units based in Accrington, Burnley, Blackburn, Blackpool, Kendal and Chorley. We provide a range of dialysis therapies including hospital based haemodialysis, automated peritoneal dialysis, continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis and home haemodialysis.

We are recruiting experienced Staff Nurses, with recent experience of medical nursing in a hospital setting for our Renal Ward, who have a genuine interest in developing their skills in this exciting specialty. We can provide a stimulating and supportive environment in which you can develop and actively participate in the delivery of a high quality service for our patients.

You will have good communication skills and will enjoy the challenge of a demanding but rewarding work environment. In return we can offer a flexible approach to working and will consider part and full time applicants. We are committed to building on your existing skills and knowledge and welcome the opportunity to develop you. Full support will be given to your personal and professional development through regular appraisals; in house training sessions and study time.

We always put patients first, and believe that creating a positive working environment, where staff feel valued, supported and empowered, will enable us to achieve this for every patient, every time. We expect every single member of staff to treat patients, families and colleagues with care and compassion, and to work together to achieve the very best outcomes. As an organisation we believe that every staff member plays a vital role in the delivery of excellent care with compassion, we are proud of our hospitals, and of the quality of care we provide for our patients, and that makes this a great place to work.

In addition to the many other benefits of working at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, you may also be entitled to apply for our relocation package. As a Trust we recognise the importance of securing the right candidate for a role; and we therefore offer an attractive relocation package of £1,500 for any nurse relocating more than one hour away from their current address.

For any further information regarding our relocation package, please contact a member of the Recruitment Team.
