The Imaging Directorate are seeking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible person who is looking for a challenge.
The Rota and Leave Co-ordinator Role within Radiology is a varied role and the successful post holder will report to the Specialty Business Manager and will join a very large Multi-Disciplinary team within Radiology and be part of the Diagnostic and Clinical Support Division.
The successful candidate will provide a medical staffing service to a busy Imaging Directorate which covers a wide range of Sub-specialties and Imaging modalities.
The role will include a broad range of activities including the coordination of medical rotas, maintaining clinical and on-call cover, processing annual/study leave requests and ensuring cover is in place to cover any planned or emergency gaps. Along with supporting the coordination of Consultant medical rotas, including Junior Doctor shifts, you will be involved in monitoring of Junior Doctors hours, Exception Reporting, and providing analysis and feedback.
You will work closely with the Specialty Business Manager, Performance Manager and Clinical Director in order to review rota templates for your division, ensuring compliance with working time regulations, terms and conditions and maximising efficiency.
There is also a requirement to manage our own performance as well as helping to deliver and contribute to most of the Trust Targets for example; 62 Day Cancer Target and the diagnostic element of many Clinical Pathways, which is why the Post is interesting, challenging and essential.
The work will be varied and interesting and we are seeking an individual who:
- Has excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, enabling them to work effectively with a wide range of staff groups, including Managers, Consultants, Junior Doctors and Clinical Lead staff.
- Has experience of working in a changing environment and has the ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
- Has analytical/interrogative skills.
- Has operational experience of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, and it is desirable that they have some previous experience working on the Health Roster and CAM.
The post will currently be based on the Royal Preston Hospital site, but the successful post holder may need to attend Chorley Hospital
For this role, secretarial/administration experience is essential as are advanced keyboard skills. You should be self-motivated, with a flexible approach to work, have the ability to work on your own initiative and to be able to prioritise a busy variable workload.
