Due to our innovative new regional Post Mortem CT service starting in April ( in conjunction with i-gene) we currently have an exciting opportunity for 2 Specialist Radiographers to join our dedicated, passionate and motivated team within the CT departments in the Imaging Directorate at this busy Acute Teaching Foundation Trust.
As well as the opportunity to rotate into this ground breaking new service,  we are a regional centre for Lancashire for a number of specialties including Oncology, Neurosurgery , Renal, Major Trauma and Vascular, and so this is an excellent chance be involved in CT scanning for these all these specialist areas. You would work within an expanding and forward thinking CT team led by an Operational CT lead radiographer and a Clinical Quality CT Lead radiographer and an experience Post Mortem/Forensic Lead radiographer in the PMCT.

The team provides a 24/7 service and flexible working plans are in place. There are wide variety of duties including weekends, evenings and overnight shift patterns and any shift patters will be considered including permanent nights or weekends.

We have 4 CT scanners at RPH( Phillips,Siemens and GE) including 1 in the Emergency Department Regional trauma centre where you would get extensive experience in Trauma CT and reconstructions and 1 adjacent to the mortuary for PMCT.

A full induction and training plan and individual support is in place and we encourage staff development into cardiac CT, CTC and post mortem scanning. Advanced Practice in a wide range of role development/extension opportunities and post graduate study is well established in the Radiology directorate. LTHTR is a Teaching hospital with development and leadership programmes which all staff can and are encouraged to access. We have a highly regarded research department and radiographers will have the opportunity to be involved in clinical academic research roles if they wish.

So if you want to be involved in all aspects of CT and you have a willingness to learn then we would be keen to hear from you too.

Amongst the many other benefits you can enjoy are:

27 days paid holidays per year, pro rata for part time staff.
Enhanced rates of pay for weekend and bank holidays working
The opportunity to join the NHS Pension scheme
Uniform provided
Child care vouchers and preferential rates for an on-site nursery
