The Pharmacy department at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals is an innovative and exciting place to work and we are searching for enthusiastic and motivated pharmacists to help us reach our ambitious targets. As a department we aim to ensure every patient is assessed against pharmaceutical clinical priorities. We have developed an integrated team model to deliver a modern Pharmacy service including ward based technicians, Pharmacist Prescribing of discharge medication and satellite pharmacies.

As a Band 6 pharmacist you will be fully supported by your line manager and the Lead Pharmacist during each rotation. You will be encouraged to develop professionally including completion of in-house training and a post-graduate clinical diploma. Our ambition is for you to flourish as a pharmacist and in doing so, for our department to deliver an excellent and innovative pharmacy service to our patients and the Trust.

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals comprises of Royal Preston Hospital a large teaching hospital with tertiary specialities of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Burns and Plastics, Oncology and Renal Medicine and Chorley and South Ribble Hospital District General Hospital. Currently the Trust is looking at expanding and developing these services and an exciting redevelopment of both sites is planned.

This post is based across both sites - Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley and South Ribble Hospital.
