The Lancashire and South Cumbria Pathology Collaborative is a partnership between NHS Trusts in the area committed to providing a high quality, accredited and efficient pathology service across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
A new venture and a ground breaking partnership in the North West, the collaborative is seeking a highly motivated individual with the skills experience and energy required to manage the partnership and implement the recommendations which have been approved by the Trust Boards of the participating Trusts. This role is pivotal to the success of the collaboration going forward and as a reflection of the importance of this role we are offering a salary in the range of £100k - £125k including an element of performance related pay.
An individual with a background in managing pathology services coupled with commercial acumen and key leadership skills is what we are seeking. We also require a person who understands the future direction of Pathology Services and can produce and implement a strategy to ensure the L&SC pathology collaboration moves forward to meet both the challenges and opportunities offered in future.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
