You will be based within the Pain Management Service at Royal Preston Hospital, providing psychological assessment and treatment to people with a wide range of chronic pain conditions. There will be opportunities for delivering individual and group therapy and for close collaboration with members the multidisciplinary team including Consultants in Pain Management, Specialist Nurses, Physiotherapists and Clinical Psychologists. We have dedicated clinic and office accommodation in addition to excellent administrative support. 

You will gain experience of working with colleagues in a growing, dynamic Clinical Health Psychology Service that provides a range of inputs across the Trust including Oncology, Renal Medicine, Surgery and Plastics, Airways, Critical Care, Major Trauma and Neurosciences. We have strong research and training links with local universities and all staff are supported in the pursuit of relevant CPD activities.

You must hold a professional qualification in Clinical Psychology and have some experience of working with clients who have long-term physical health conditions.
