We are looking for an experienced Ward Clerk to join our busy Children and Young People's Services team. The role includes working within the ward area and the Paediatric assessment unit.

You will be enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking and will work as part of a team, contributing to the smooth running of the Unit by providing clerical support. Good IT skills are necessary and knowledge of in-house systems such as Quadramed would be an advantage but training will be given. Post holders must have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels within the Trust.

Successful candidates will enhance the already established team to maintain high standards of record keeping and confidentiality. They will mainly be the first point of contact for all service users, relatives, medical and nursing teams and it is essential that candidates demonstrate excellent communication skills

This position would suit motivated, organised individuals with good communication skills, who would enjoy the challenge of a demanding, but rewarding work environment.

Hours of work 37.5 hours per week adjusted over 7 days per week. You will need to work days, evenings and weekends in order to meet the needs of the service.
