Nurse/Occupational Therapy Integrated model of care

        BAND 5 OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST - 37.5 hours

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Nurse/Occupational Therapy integrated model of care and rehabilitation within Trauma Orthopaedics. We offer a high quality, dynamic service operating Monday to Friday focusing of fractured neck of femur patients. This service provides highly specialist therapeutic assessment, intervention and discharge planning to the identified patients, working in close collaboration with all members of the MDT.

We can offer you a rewarding but challenging role where you will be able to develop your skills in an acute hospital setting. You will possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to demonstrate flexibility and initiative. The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent interpersonal skill, an aptitude for team working and will be able to support the Trusts values and behaviours.

Applicants will preferably have had practice placement experience of working in an acute setting. You will require a commitment to multi disciplinary working, a proactive approach to personal and professional development and well developed organisational skills.

We are an integrated service with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy working closely together ensuring the continues delivery of high quality effective care and rehabilitation. We are a large department within a complex organisation which has a range of core and specialist services across Preston and Chorley Hospitals. There is a structured support system provided by Clinical Lead Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Clinical therapy Managers, within each integrated pathway team.

In recognition of the need for enhanced provision, Core therapies are looking to move towards 7 day working, and such the successful candidate will be expected to support this model of care when it is implemented.

If you are committed to delivering high quality standards and are passionate about making a personal difference, come and join us.
