As part of the expansion, a new dedicated Ophthalmic Department will be opened at Chorley and South Ribble District General Hospital with a Daycase Unit comprising 3 Theatres, Ward area and Macular suite.

There will also be an Outpatient Unit with over 20 rooms to support the delivery of an efficient and high quality service for patients. Ophthalmic services will continue to be provided at the Royal Preston Hospital as well.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Consultant Ophthalmologist with an interest in Retinal (Surgical or Medical)  to join our dynamic and expanding Ophthalmology team who can support the needs of the department and work in a team of 9 Consultants.

The successful candidate will be expected to work across the two hospital sites at Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley and South Ribble District General Hospital and participate in the consultant on-call rota.
