An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Macmillan Advanced Specialist Occupational Therapist in Neuro-Oncology, to develop and lead a brand new service to support people with neurological cancer. The post will be based at the Cancer Centre at Lancashire Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Macmillan have funded a pilot for provision of a Neuro-Oncology rehabilitation and supportive service and for the development of a non-surgical rehabilitation multi disciplinary team.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to provide leadership, innovation and expertise. This role will involve treating and supporting patients with highly complex care needs that require specialist assessment, treatment and care planning. In this role you will also support and guide others to deliver these programme's of care.

Neuro-Oncology patients have rehabilitation needs that cross organisational and service boundaries requiring neurological and palliative rehabilitation. This will include outreaching into the community.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, self-motivated person with good inter-personal and organisational skills with a “can do” attitude who has the ability to lead this new and exciting service.
