An opportunity has arisen within the Surgical directorate at Royal Preston Hospital for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our busy and friendly secretarial team in the Nutrition Nursing Team and Central Venous Access Team.
The post covers a variety of patient related and non-clinical duties and we are currently developing our systems and pathways to support the smooth running of the department.
We are looking for someone who is willing to undertake new tasks and drive forward administrative innovations in line with service requirements and changes. You need to be able to adapt and respond to the service changes and demands of the job on a daily basis. This will require excellent time management and prioritization skills as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure. Being a good team player whilst showing initiative and working effectively will be essential to fulfill your duties.
This involves a range of administration duties, which will provide you with a varied and challenging role. Ideally you will have previous secretary experience and hold or equivalent to RSA or OCR qualifications typing qualifications; Medical secretarial qualifications would also be an advantage.
You must display a high level of integrity and professionalism at all times. You must be hard working, possess good oral and written communication skills, have good computer skills and be flexible to the needs of the department.
The nutrition Team and Central Venous access Teams area well established and friendly team, dedicated to providing high quality care across Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
