We are looking for enthusiastic and caring people to join our team of Health Care Assistants (HCA’s) at Royal Preston Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for any individual who aspires to a career within the NHS caring for our patients and working alongside highly motivated teams. We invest in our staff by promoting and supporting professional development. Applicants will be expected to keep up to date with all clinical competencies within the job description. 

Excellent communication skills are essential in this role as well as a passion for delivering excellent care with compassion.

No hospital experience needed, you will begin spending the first few weeks on our bespoke HCA training programme that will give you all the initial skills that will you need to join your new ward / area and confidence in your ability as a new HCA.

Our healthcare assistants work a four shift system; early, late, Twilight and nights. Please note that we are a 24 hour service and therefore you will be expected to take part in all shift patterns. 

Examples of our current shift patterns are:

Earlies 7-3pm

Lates 1.30-9.30pm

Nights 9pm -7.30am

Twilights 6pm – 12am

Long Days 7am -9.30pm
