Our Pre-Nursing Healthcare Assistant Apprenticeship is the ideal opportunity for you to take the first step in your future career as a qualified nurse.
If successful you will be working as a Band 2 Healthcare Assistant enrolled onto the Pre-Nursing Apprenticeship programme and on completion you will be awarded a level 3 Diploma in Clinical Healthcare Support
Previous experience of care is desirable but not essential for this post and the ability to work a minimum of 30 hours, as a Healthcare Assistant you will need to be flexible to work shifts / unsocial hours, including nights as required. Evidence of Maths and English at GCSE grade C/4 or Functional skills Level 2 are essential.
The programme runs over a 20 month period, on successful completion you will be supported to apply for a place on the Adult Nursing Degree programme with providers associated with Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
If you do not want to progress into nurse training you will be supported to continue in your substantive health care assistant post within the Trust.
