We are looking for enthusiastic and caring people to join our team of Health Care Assistants (HCA’s). This is an exciting opportunity for any individual who aspires to a career within the NHS caring for our patients and working alongside highly motivated teams. We invest in our staff by promoting and supporting professional development. Applicants will be expected to keep up to date with all clinical competencies within the job description and from day one will be directed onto level 2 or 3 in healthcare, meeting the government standards for care within the NHS.
We proactively support Health Care Assistants who are aspire to become registered nurses with opportunities to apply for nurse training at one of our partner education providers, University of Central Lancashire or University of Bolton - subject to meeting university entry requirements.
Excellent communication skills are essential in this role as well as a passion for delivering excellent care with compassion.
No hospital experience needed, you will begin spending the first few weeks on our bespoke HCA training programme that will give you all the initial skills that will you need to join your new ward / area confident in your ability as a new HCA
Our healthcare assistants usually work a four shift system; early, late, Twilight and nights; however in some cases we can offer flexible working patterns that suit your work / home life balance.
Examples of our current shift patterns are:
Nights 9pm -7.30am
Twilights 6pm – 12am
Long Days 7am -9.30pm
