An exciting opportunity exists for two experienced, qualified Clinical Psychologists to join a Neuropsychology Team based within a growing Physical Health Psychology Service. We are looking for two enthusiastic and flexible individuals to work with patients with the full spectrum of neurological conditions, as well as patients with mental health issues who present with functional neurological symptoms. The post holders will be expected to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within in a neurorehabilitation inpatient setting. There will also be opportunity to provide psychological and neuropsychological assessment and intervention through outpatient clinics, as well as other environments in which the service is appropriately provided.
The post holders will provide highly specialist direct patient care, as well as offer training, support and advice to other specialist staff. Additionally, the post holders will be expected to contribute to audit, research, and service development processes, as well as offer clinical supervision to other Clinical Psychologists.
The post holders will be part of a Neuropsychology Team, affording them the opportunity for peer support as well as supervision from a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist. They will also be part of a growing multi-speciality Health Psychology Services that has excellent links with other specialities within the Trust. We actively encourage and support CPD. As a department we take trainees from the North West training courses in Clinical Psychology and other therapy related courses and have academic links in applied psychology and health with local universities.
