 Applications are invited for mortuary technicians who have passed the RSPH level 4 Diploma of Anatomical Pathology and Technology exam or motivated individuals who are willing to personally train and develop in this field. On successful completion of the Foundation degree or Level 5 qualification the post holder will be upgraded to a band 6.

The post holder will help to provide an efficient and reliable service by performing routine and more specialised techniques, which include home office, infectious and neuropathology post mortem’s. The post holder will be involved in the PMCT scanning service which involves pre-preparation techniques and will liaise with the Lead radiographer.

You will be expected to participate in an on call rota in the Mortuary after a period of competency training.

This busy hospital mortuary is based at Preston but cover may be required at the Chorley site.
