An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Major Trauma Service for an experienced registered nurse or AHP to work as part of a well-established team.

The Major Trauma Service at the Royal Preston Hospital provides critical life and limb saving treatment for patients who have sustained serious traumatic injuries. As the regional Major Trauma Centre we operate within the Lancashire and South Cumbria Major Trauma Network and work collaboratively to ensure our patients receive the best possible care and outcome.

The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of excellent care to our patients, supporting them throughout their pathway. Operational experience in caring for major trauma patients is essential from the acute phase through to rehabilitation.

The successful candidate will have:-

  • Recent and relevant operational management experience and demonstrate clinical experience
  • Have a track record in managing change and developing practice
  • Be a strong leader who is able to develop in an inclusive team-based approach in a pressured and challenging environment
  • Appropriate NMC Registration and post registration qualifications relevant to role

The successful candidate will have previous substantive experience at Band 6/7 level and possess experience within trauma. Excellent communication skills are essential and the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate and sustain new and innovative ways of working which facilitate developments in clinical practice.
