Are you an Interested in Infection Prevention and Control?
We are looking to recruit a motivated, experienced professional to join the Infection Prevention and Control Team. If you are looking for a new challenge and would like to be part of our new team that strives for continuous improvement in providing outstanding levels of care then we would like to hear from you.
The successful candidate will preferably have experience of Infection Prevention and Control practice and be in a position to advise our teams on matters relating to Infection Prevention and Control. However this is not essential as this post is open to senior band 5 and band 6 professionals with a view to undertaking the IPC specialist module.
You will be required to work closely with all divisions, ward/unit managers and matrons across the organisation.
You will be required to work operationally reviewing patients with current/suspected Infections providing an advisory role for clinical staff, manage outbreaks, support ward staff with education and Infection Prevention and Control guidance as per Trust policy. To also contribute/manage in the post infection review process.
You must possess outstanding communication skills with a track record of delivery. Nurse registration is not essential to this role, however professional registration is and practical experience of managing infection, prevention and control is desirable.
You must be able to demonstrate the values and visions of the organisation and evidence how you enact these into your everyday practice.
