Are you looking to advance your career through an exciting leadership opportunity?
Does being involved in new and innovative ways of working excite you?
Would you like to make the most effective use of your prescribing and clinical skills?
Do you want to participate in pioneering pharmacy research projects?
If the answer to these questions is YES - we have the job for you.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated senior pharmacist. Working directly with a team of junior pharmacists and technicians, this is your chance to utilise your existing clinical knowledge and prescribing skills, whilst expanding your leadership and management experience. Thanks to a range of exciting developments in conjunction with local Universities, you will also have the opportunity to develop your research experience, with plans to publish the results in peer reviewed healthcare journals.
Due to the success of our prescribing pharmacist team in supporting patient flow, over 80% of our operational lead pharmacists are now prescribers working closely with the multidisciplinary team to generate prescriptions on admission as well as discharge, to enhance patient safety and really make a difference to patient care.
The post holder will provide prescribing services across the Trust, specific opportunities exist to support the orthopedic and trauma speciality. Given the commitment the trust is providing to support the development of our 7 day service we also have the opportunity for a candidate to work flexibly across specialities. Ideally you will already be a non-medical prescriber; however we will support successful candidates through the prescribing course where necessary.
Interview date: To be confirmed
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
