We have a new opportunity in the Core Therapies Directorate for a governance and risk officer to support the occupational therapists and physiotherapists in the management of systems and processes relating to the governance of the service.
The purpose of this post is to provide a focus on the administration of the Incident & Risk Management system (DATIX); administration and analysis of incidents, risks and claims and to support the development of policies and processes which impact across the core therapies directorate.
The post holder will deliver DATIX training as appropriate and support the process for closing of incidents and analysis of incidents across the service.
The post holder will ensure that service governance systems are developed in line with Trust priorities and that appropriate and accurate evidence can be retrieved from the systems and that this is provided to managers and professional leads in a timely and efficient manner. You will ensure that effective systems are maintained for the provision of information on governance, risk management and legal activities to provide assurances on the delivery of governance.
The Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy services are integrated and form the Core Therapies Directorate. Staff work on both hospital sites and you will be expected to work closely with all of the teams which may involve cross site travel.
You will possess good written and verbal communication skills, be able to demonstrate flexibility and initiative. The successful candidate will also have excellent interpersonal skills, an aptitude for team working and will be able to support the Trusts values and behaviours.
