Lancashire Teaching Hospitals has two hospitals – Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley District General Hospital. Preston has a 28 bedded Critical Care Unit and Chorley a 4 bedded high dependency unit.
This is an exciting time within Critical Care we are in the process of expanding our capacity to 34 beds on the Preston site.
Lancashire Teaching Hospital Trust is the specialist regional centre for a mixture of specialties:
- Major trauma centre
- Vascular surgery
- Maxillo-facial and plastics
- Upper Gastro-intestinal
- General surgery
- Renal and dialysis
- Oncology and Radiotherapy
We have exciting opportunities within our expanding Critical Care service. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated nurses to join our innovative and rapidly expanding team.
We will be taking applications for newly qualified for 2019.

We are a friendly unit that offers a flexible and comprehensive induction. All staff have a supernumerary period – this is flexible to be expanded depending on previous experience.
All posts are rotational days/nights and across Preston and Chorley sites.
