We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and forward thinking individual to undertake the role of Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) Coordinator working as part of the Corporate Cancer team at Lancashire Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

You will enjoy working in a fast paced environment where tracking patients virtually through their cancer pathway is an essential part of the role, from GP referral through to investigations, diagnosis and treatment.

The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination and organisation of the multidisciplinary team meetings, using video conference facilities. You will attend these meetings obtaining and recording relevant information. You will collect, record and report cancer information as required in order to meet both national and local requirements playing an integral part in the monitoring and delivery of cancer waiting times standards and robust submission of complex data to national clinical audit and datasets.

The position provides the opportunity to work within a supportive and welcoming team and to further develop your knowledge and skills. You will enjoy working closely with the clinicians, clinical nurse specialists, secretaries and patient access teams and will be able to use your initiative in order to ensure the smooth and effective running of MDT meetings.

You will be expected to provide cover for your colleagues from time to time. Attention to detail, and good organisational and communication skills are key components to the role.
