Are you an enthusiastic data analyst with a naturally inquisitive mind and a keen eye for detail, with workforce planning and project management experience? We are looking to appoint a Workforce & Education Data Senior Analyst into our friendly and supportive department.

The Workforce & Education Data Team is responsible for the management and development of operational and strategic workforce and education intelligence to support our staff, managers and Board to make informed decisions, and optimise the use of our workforce systems, information and reporting tools across the Trust.

Access to accurate, timely and intelligent workforce data is critical to building a safe and flexible workforce for our patients. With this in mind, the Trust is keen to become a forerunner in creating a dynamically transparent information culture and, thus, wants you to lead on the provision and development of sophisticated workforce planning information to support our Strategic Workforce Planner.  This will include the analysis of multiple data sets to enable strategic decisions to be made, most frequently at Board level, and to provide assurance on workforce planning predictions and metrics.

The Workforce & Education Data Senior Analyst post will also play a crucial role in implementing a range of projects relating to ESR functionality, with particular focus on realising the full utilisation of OLM and Supervisor Self Service, whilst ensuring that any related recording, processing and reporting of workforce and education data is streamlined across the Trust. You will be one of the first points of contact for our stakeholders when they have queries relating to our workforce systems projects and any impact on their data. You will also support the day-to-day activities undertaken by the team to ensure delivery of the Trust’s routine and ad-hoc reporting requirements.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have experience of working in a fast-paced environment, with strong verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, both face-to-face, over the phone and via e-mail. You will be a highly motivated individual who is comfortable working with statistical software and building data warehouses, as well as managing and delivering projects, often autonomously. You will especially be experienced in using all the functionality of Microsoft Excel and ESR's Business Intelligence reporting environment to design reports that triangulate workforce, finance and activity data with intelligently presented outputs.
