Are you an enthusiastic data analyst with a naturally inquisitive mind and a keen eye for detail? We are looking to appoint a Workforce & Education Data Analyst into our friendly and supportive department.

The Workforce & Education Data Team is responsible for the management and development of operational and strategic workforce and education intelligence to support our staff, managers and Board to make informed decisions, and optimise the use of our workforce systems, information and reporting tools across the Trust.

Our workforce systems include the national Electronic Staff Record (ESR) for the NHS, which is used to operate our core people and payroll related processes and transactions. This system is also critical for our workforce and budgetary planning cycles, enabling the alignment of people, posts and functions with the financial general ledger. We are also on an exciting journey to fully utilise the capabilities of the ESR Learning Management function - OLM - to record and monitor our statutory and mandatory training across the organisation.

The Workforce & Education Data Analyst post plays a crucial role in day-to-day reporting activities as well as producing bespoke information solutions. You will be one of the first points of contact for the department when they have queries relating to our workforce systems and data. You will support the day-to-day activities undertaken by the team to ensure the data we hold is accurate and complies with the National Workforce Data Set standards. You will also support team projects to streamline the recording, processing and reporting of workforce and education data across the Trust.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have experience of working in a fast-paced environment, with strong verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, both face-to-face and via e-mail. You will be experienced in using all the functionality of Microsoft Excel and ESR's Business Intelligence reporting environment to design reports that intelligently analyse our data.
