An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Scrub practitioner to join Chorley theatres as Scrub team leader.

You must be either a registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) in order to lead our dynamic Scrub team within Chorley Theatres.

We specialise in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing various procedures within our fast paced clinical environment. We cover a wide range of specialities such as Elective Orthopaedics, Ear Nose and Throat, Urology, General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Plastics and Vascular

We seek a committed individual who has excellent clinical skills, effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. You will display enthusiasm and interest in enhancing the good reputation of Chorley Theatres and foster and maintain good relationships with all members of the multidisciplinary team.

As an experienced Scrub practitioner you will demonstrate excellent knowledge and clinical skills and be a role model for all staff within the department.

You will demonstrate a commitment to the development of staff, students and your own CPD.

As a team leader you will work with the Theatre Training team to ensure training compliance is met and learning opportunities for all staff and students are maximised. You must have substantive senior nursing/ODP experience and to succeed in this role you must demonstrate confidence, strong leadership skills and be flexible and proactive.  Excellent communication skills, IT skills, and a patient safety focus are vital to the role as well as the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload.
