Exciting opportunities have arisen for staff nurses wanting to develop their skills and knowledge within Elderly Care at our Chorley & South Ribble Hospital site.
We are looking for newly qualified and experienced nurses to join our team on Rookwood A. The ward is a 24 bedded medical ward that admits older adults with a diverse range of acute and complex medical conditions and we have a number of staff nurse posts available. The team are committed to teaching and supporting staff and are looking for these qualities in new team members. Willingness to undertake training in managing patients with a series of complex acute medical conditions; including evidenced based Dementia Care, are essential parts of the role. Dementia care is of the highest agenda for these wards and thus concentrated efforts are ongoing to ensure positive patient experience from admission to discharge.
We were the first Trust in the country to be awarded ‘teaching hospitals’ status and we provide award winning educational programmes for nursing staff. We also have close links with local universities We want our nurses to be highly skilled we will support you to undertake any study required ranging from short courses to masters level degree's.
